Lockmith services are booming in New Orleans, with nearly 70% of residents saying they would like to have a locksmith in their neighborhood.
In New York City, a whopping 78% of those surveyed would like a locksmiter.
In the Bay Area, where the number of locksmiths has skyrocketed, 63% of people said they would be willing to pay more to have someone in their area.
The number of people who said they were willing to fork over a lot of money to have their locksmith increase in popularity increased from 30% to 60% in the Bay area, according to the survey, which was conducted in September.
While more than 50% of New Yorkers said they’d like a professional locksmith at home, that number dropped to 37% in August, when the city was hit by Superstorm Sandy.
A similar survey was conducted a year ago and found that 70% residents would like someone to work for them at home.
