When you buy a lock, you pay for it to be locked

Lock buyers are now required to lock their lock and pay for its locksmiths to install the locks on the property.

A locksmith will charge a flat fee of $200 and will work for 10 days.

This means that lock buyers will be paying for locksmith costs that were not covered by the initial purchase price of the property and will be making payments that will not be covered by insurance coverage.

There are no minimums for locking a lock in the city of Toronto and the city is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who locks a property and locks up the property owner.
